Residual moveout correction in AVO anal

This paper reports that because of the influence of velocity error, the NMO corrected events of CDP gather still look not straight, that is to say, there exist residual moveouts, causing bad influence on AVO analysis. The residual moveouts can be removed by opening time window according to horizons, censusing the residual static moveouts of every trace in each horizon, making interpolation in time direction and performing residual static correction in which correction values vary in time and space directions. It has been shown that the residual moveout corrected CDP gather favors the improvement of AVO analysis accuracy.
