His paper considers the problem of wastewater treatment in electroplating industry. The basic methods of wastewater treatment and reasonable advantage of membrane methods have been described. The classification of membrane methods has been made. The main kinetic characteristics of baromembrane separation solutions, which include diffusion, hydrodynamic permeability coefficient and detention, have been considered. The effect of concentration, temperature and pressure on the main kinetic characteristics of baromembrane separation solutions has been assessed. Related phenomena inherent in the reverse osmosis separation solutions, such as concentration polarization, sedimentation and changes in the structure of the membrane have been shown. A perspective development of electro-baromembrane methods of solution separation has been outlined.
