Titanium (III) species generated by electroreduction of titanium (IV) were characterized by UV-vislble
spectra and by determination of the redox potential of 11 (IV) / TI (!II) couple. Reductions of hydroxylamine hydrochloride and certain oxime derivatives with TI (!II)by tltrtmetrtc method have been standardlsed and stoichiometry was established. Products have been Identified and characterized. For the preparation of primary arntnes In higher yields. titanium (III) mediated electro-reduction of
certain oxtmes was suggested. Utility of titanium (III) as a reductant. In analytical and electroreduction studies have been highlighted,
