One-pot synthesis of atomically precise chiral PtAg4 nanoclusters

We report the synthesis and structural characterization of [PtAg₄Cl(BDPP)₄H]²⁺, a novel bimetallic complex featuring an intrinsically chiral architecture. The heterometallic Pt-Ag core exhibits distinctive optical properties, while the chiral BDPP (BDPP is 2,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)pentane) ligand not only induces structural asymmetry but also fine-tunes the electronic and steric characteristics of the complex.
