Ocular cryptococcosis as a presenting manifestation of cryptococcal meningitis in a patient with HIV

We describe a case of cryptococcal meningitis in a patient known to have HIV who presented initially with ocular cryptococcosis. This case highlights to clinicians the need to be aware of this association and to carry out relevant investigations so as to treat these patients appropriately.
