Innovative Metropolitan Area Development Orientation and Research Attainments in China——Improvement of Innovative City and Transformation of Traditional Metropolitan Area

Based on background of innovative nation construction, this paper analyzed innovation trends of different political levels and related policies, and pointed out the urgency and necessity to develop innovative metropolitan area in China. According to development practice of innovative city and metropolitan area, this paper set up the three characteristics of Multi- dimension, Cross- boundary and Super- network to innovative metropolitan area and its development basis. Also, with aspects of content, comment and mode, this paper summarized innovative metropolitan area's three trends of systematical diversification, coordination of regional innovation and comprehensive elements.Finally, this paper illustrated disadvantages and relevant proper efforts in the future
