Objective To study the degradation kinetics of bulleyaconitine A(BLA).Methods Classical constant temperature method and HPLC were used. Results The degradation of BLA was found to follow pseudo first-order kinetics. The main catalytic effect was the specific base catalysis. The degradation rate of BLA increased with temperatures. The most stable pH range was from 3 to 5.Activation energies(E) of degradation at pH 7,8 and 9 were 148.04,137.65 and 102.36 kJ·mol-1,respectively.The t0.9 values of BLA at 25℃ were 1054.00,95.82 and 7.42 h,respectively. The degradation rate constants decreased as ionic strengths increased at basic condition. Conclusions It is found that the degradation reaction of BLA is pseudo first-order kinetics.Temperature,pH and ionic strength have significant effect on the degradation of BLA.
