A study on the penetration into chips in the pretreatment of CTMP pulping for triploid of polulus tomentosa

The penetration rates in axial direction and radical direction of sapwood and heartwood of triploid of polulus tomentosa in different temperatures were studied. The results show that the penetration rates in axial direction are more rapid than those in radical direction, the penetration rate in the axial direction of sapwood is a little more rapid than that in the axial direction of heartwood, the penetration rate in the radical direction of sapwood is almost the same as that in the radical direction of heartwood. The results also show that the higher the temperature is, the higher the penetration rate is.
