In this paper we established a RP-HPLC method for the amentoflavone in Selaginella pulvinate and determined the quantity of amentoflavone.The mobile phase of chromatographic conditions,including Purospher star RP-C18 column (250 mm ×4.6 mm,5 μm),is consisted of methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid solution(65∶35).The detection wavelength was at 337 nm and the temperature of the column was 25 ℃.Amentoflavone showed a good linear relationship at the range of 0.038-0.342 μg,r=0.9999.The recovery rate was 101.2% and RSD was 2.3%.The methods can be used accurately and quickly for the quality control of amentoflavone in Selaginella pulvinate.
