Review and Prospect of the Relationship between Urban Green Space and Heat Island Effect

The urban heat island effect is influenced not only by urban green space's vegetation quantity but also by the area,shape and spatial pattern of green patches.To enhance the green space's function of reducing urban heat island(UHI) effect,it's necessary to research the relationship between urban green space and UHI thoroughly.Combined with the authors' works,the latest achievements on the topic of relationship between urban green space and UHI were summarized from three aspects,including mitigation measures of UHI,quantitative studies of the reducing UHI effects with green space,studies on the relationship between green space's spatial characters,vegetation quantity,vegetation classes and UHI.The further research directions and problems are presented.
