The time effects of different vacuum treatment on secondary structure of superoxide dismutase(SOD) were investigated experimentally via the circular dichroism(CD) spectrum.The results revealed that the different vacuum treating time(3~15min) affects the relative contents of α-helix,β-sheet,β-turn and random coil of SOD differently.As compared with the contrast,the relative contents of α-helix,β-turn and random coil decrease to 26.1%~41.3%,52.1%~68.8% and 2.1%~3.8% respectively,while the β-sheet content increased by 6.5%~9.2%.This indicated that the vacuum treatment tends to transform the α-helix,β-turn and random coil into β-sheet of the SOD.
