Objective:To study the efficacy of early comprehensive cerebral protection on acute hypoxic encephalopathy. Methods: 41 patients with acute hypoxic encephalopathy were divided into two groups by 2 hours prior to admission or subsequent admission of the onset. Those cases received early comprehensive cerebral protection, and Glasgow coma scales at different time intervals as on admission,24 h or 48 h after admission were kept for comparison. Results: The Glasgow coma scales showed no difference between the two groups on admission(P0.05),but exhibited differently at 24 h and marked at 48 h(P0.01).The difference also demonstrated in the degree of rise in 24 h and 48h after admission.Conclusion:: Early comprehensive cerebral protection on acute hypoxic encephalopathy cases can obviously improve the conscious state of the patients and lessen the injury in brain function.
