Relationship between indexes of ultrasonic cardiogram and body surface area in normal adults

Objective: To explore relationship between indexes of ultrasonic cardiogram and body surface area in normal adults.Methods: A total of 639 normal adults were selected by multistage sampling.Height and weight was measured to calculate body surface area,and several indexes of ultrasonic cardiogram were detected.The relationship between indexes of ultrasonic cardiogram and body surface area was analyzed by linear-regression analysis.Results: Indexes of ultrasonic cardiogram had good linear relation with body surface area(P0.05).Conclusions: Body surface area is an important factor influencing ultrasonic cardiogram.Indexes of ultrasonic cardiogram should be standardized according to body surface area for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
