Studies on Chemical Constituents of Phlomis medicinalis II

OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of Phlomis medicinalis.METHODS The compounds were isolated and repeatedly purified on macroporous resin,silica gel column chromatograph and TLC and the structures were elucidated by physico-chemical properties and spectral analysis.RESULTS Ten compounds were obtained and elucidated as phlomisoic acid(Ⅰ),phlomisoside Ⅴ(Ⅱ),phlomisoside Ⅲ(Ⅲ),triacontanoic acid(Ⅳ),triacontanoic acid,2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl ester(Ⅴ),phthalic acid,butyl isobutyl ester(Ⅵ),palmitic acid(Ⅶ),oleic acid(Ⅷ),β-sitosterol(Ⅸ)and daucosterol(Ⅹ).CONCLUSION They have been isolated from this plant for the first time besides compound Ⅲ,and compound Ⅳ,Ⅴ and Ⅵ were obtained from the plants of Phlomis for the first time,and phlomisoside Ⅴ was a new compound.
