Polyarylene Sulfide Matrix Resins and Composites

Abstract In this article, the research and development of high performance polyarylene sulfide (PAS) matrix resins and composites are introduced. The synthesis route and method of the major varieties of PAS resins are described in detail, such as polyphenylene sulfide, polyarylene sulfide sulfone, polyarylene sulfide ketone, polyarylene sulfide amide, and so on, and the properties of polymers and their composites are also presented in detail. Furthermore, we make a retrospect on the current problems of such materials and a prospect on the direction of future development in this article.
