摘要
ABSTRACT Terahertz (THz) science and technology have demonstrated significant potential in a wide range of applications, including civil infrastructure, economic development, and military security. In recent years, both THz generation and control technologies have made remarkable progress, leading to the emergence of an interdisciplinary field, THz generation and synchronous control. In this review, we present an overview of the advancements in this area, with a particular emphasis on the multi‐parameter modulation of THz waves, such as amplitude, phase, polarization, frequency, and wavefront, achieved through photonic approaches and advanced material engineering. These developments are critical for advancing the practical implementation of THz applications, as they can realize compact, multifunctional THz sources and thus significantly reduce the overall size and complexity.
