Role of Combined Testing of Tumor Markers CA19-9 and CEA and CA242 in the Diagnosis and Evaluate Prognosis of Pancreatic Carcinoma

Objective To explore the value of combined testing of tumor markers CA19-9 and CEA and CA242 in the diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma.Methods Detection of serum tumor markers CA19-9 and CEA and CA242 was carried out in 98 patients with pancreatic carcinoma and 60 healthy volunteers.Results The levels of tumor markers in pancreatic carcinoma group were significantly higher than those in the normal contral group.Conclusion THe combined testing of tumor markers CA19-9 and CEA and CA242 is an ideal markers in the diagnosis and the follow-up of operated cases and evaluate prognosis of pancreatic carcinoma.
