Use of intracavernosal alprostadil in erectile dysfunction.

Alprostadil (prostaglandin E1) is the most widely used, licensed vasoactive agent for intracorporeal injection in the investigation and treatment of erectile dysfunction. It has a good side-effect profile and is effective in between 70 and 80% of patients.
