Periareolar Incision Deformity: Correction of Infra-areolar Indentations with Acellular Dermal Matrix

SUMMARY: The peri-areolar incision offers advantages in breast augmentation and is still commonly used. One disadvantage is the potential for developing postoperative infra-areolar indentation, especially in cases where this incision is re-used for secondary surgery or in patients with thin periareolar breast tissue. This article describes techniques for correcting periareolar incision deformity (PD) with the use of acellular dermal matrix (ADM).
