Abstract The growing need for self-powered electronics has led to extensive research into highly efficient energy-harvesting technologies. This study specifically explores multilayer composite films (MCF) made of PZT/PVDF for use in sensors and energy harvesting. Thorough characterization of the MCF PZT/PVDF using SEM and AFM has provided important insights into its microstructure and surface morphology. Essential piezoelectric properties were observed using FTIR and XRD. The output voltage response and piezoelectric coefficient ( d 33 ) of the films were measured via impact tests to assess performance under different forces. The MCF PZT/PVDF show significant promise for advancing the field of sensors, energy harvesting, and flexible electronics, providing a sustainable and efficient approach to power generation.
