摘要
This chapter focuses on the role of removable directing groups (RDGs) in enhancing regioselective CH activation reactions via transition-metal catalysis. It addresses the challenges of positional selectivity in CH functionalization and explores solutions provided by RDGs across a wide range of functional groups containing substrates and heteroarenes. Numerous examples demonstrate how traditional functional groups can be converted into powerful directing groups for CH activation. The chapter emphasizes the versatility of RDGs in achieving complex transformations. These advancements significantly contribute to organic synthesis, offering valuable tools for developing complex molecular architectures.
