The bicyclo[3.2.1]octanone and bicyclo[3.2.1]octanedione scaffolds, along with their derivatives, are ubiquitous in natural products and synthetic pharmaceuticals. However, the synthetic routes to access these scaffolds have been relatively underdeveloped. Herein, this study introduces a unique reaction between pent‐4‐ene‐1,3‐diones and vinyl diketones, which serves as a versatile platform for the efficient synthesis of a wide array of bicyclo[3.2.1]octanediones in good to excellent yields. Furthermore, this study method facilitates diverse downstream transformations of these products, underscoring the versatility and potential of diketone‐based chemistry in constructing complex molecules.
