Conjugated polymers from acenaphthene imide and acenaphthylene imide: significant modulation of optoelectronic properties by different fused-pentagon rings

Dehydrogenation-oxidation of the pentagonal rings fused in π-systems can create π-extended strong acceptors and their structurally derived conjugated polymers with tunable optoelectronic properties.
