摘要
Globally, the soil is the largest active terrestrial carbon pool in the biosphere, composed of organic and inorganic carbon. The role of plants in carbon sequestration has been widely studied, but knowledge concerning the potential of soil microorganisms for carbon sequestration remains poor. This article reviews the composition of the carbon-fixing microbes community in the soil, the process of soil microbes carbon fixation, and the factors affecting the rate of carbon fixation. The key scientific problems to be solved urgently are also proposed. It hopes to provide new ideas and methods for comprehensively understanding the carbon sequestration process and mechanism of soil microorganisms, improving the efficiency of soil carbon sequestration, and solving environmental problems caused by climate change and human activities.
