Rational construction of a simplified hemicyanine-based fluorescent probe CCX-1 with dual pH and viscosity response for lysosome-specific tumour imaging

CCX-1, a simplified D–π–A hemicyanine-based fluorescent probe, exhibits dual-responsive behavior to pH and viscosity changes, as well as capabilities for lysosomal targeting, cancer cell discrimination, and in vivo tumor visualization.
