摘要
The spin Hamiltonian HS=E0−JABSA·SB is derived for two arbitrary nonorthogonal systems, to a certain well-defined order. It is shown that the coupling constant, which no longer necessarily takes only positive values, is determined by the electron densities and spin densities of the two systems.
