PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN PEGAGAN (Centella asiatica)SEBAGAI PREBIOTIK DENGAN TINGKAT DOSIS YANG BERBEDA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Lactobacillus acidophilus

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of pegagan (Centella asiatica) leaf extract with different dose level for increasing the growth of Lactobacillus bacteria acidophilus This study used pegagan (Centella asiatica) leaf extract and bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus then divided into 4 groups consisting of control treatment (P0), P1 treatment of pegagan (Centella asiatica) leaf extract dose of 1%, P2 treatment of (Centella asiatica) leaf extract dose of 2%, P3 treatment of (Centella asiatica) leaf extract dose of 3%. At the end of treatment, each colony is calculated using the method Total Plate Count. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA then followed by Duncan test. The results showed that pegagan (Centella asiatica) leaf extract at a dose of 1%, 2%, 3% can increase the growth of bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus. The average growth of bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus in the treatment of P0 was 7 log 32.33 followed by P1 treatment of 7 log 64.83, and P2 treatment was 7 log 84.0 while the highest was found in P3 treatment of 7 log 147, 33.
