The immobilization of enzymes on a solid substrate is widely used in pharmaceutical and other biochemical industries. Covalent binding to the substrate is the most promising immobilization method. The paper considers the possibility of covalently attaching biomolecules to a polymer carrier by activating the surface of the substrate by high energy ion implantation. The prospects of this method due to the formation of a covalent bond between the biomolecule and the free radical stabilized by pi-electrons in the modified surface are shown.
