Research progress of pathogenesis and noninvasive biomarkers of IgA nephropathy

IgA nephropathy(IgAN)is the most common form of primary glomerulonephritis, and caused by multi-genes and multi-factors.However, pathological mechanisms are not fully understood.Although renal biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosing IgAN, it is very difficult to carry out in children because it is an invasive test, and due to the limit of the puncture site and glomeruli amount, renal biopsy could not accurately reflect the severity of glome-rulopathy.Therefore, many researchers are trying to find the ideal non-invasive biomarker for IgAN.The research progress of pathogenesis and noninvasive biomarkers of IgAN will be introduced in this paper.
