For the preparation of LSMCO+4% micro Al2O3 composite, samples of La0.7Sr0.3Mn1-xCoxO3 (LSMCO) (x=0, 0.06) were prepared by modified sol-gel technique. The structural, electrical transport and magnetoresistive properties of all the samples were investigated systematically. Some specific effect of Co doping at Mn-site in LSMO on the electrical transport property was observed the resistivity decreases and MR% increases (∼25%) compare to LSMO. Due to the presence of nonmagnetic micro Al2O3, the resistivity of LSMCO+4% micro Al2O3 increases monotonically but MR% slightly fluctuates compare to LSMCO. Transport properties of all the samples are discussed in the light of data fitting in appropriate model and MR behaviour.
