摘要
Many of us probably remember from biology/microbiology courses the fascination we felt when viewing the magnificent colony shapes and conidiophores of Aspergillus species. This unique group of filamentous fungi is diverse and widely distributed and can be both harmful and beneficial to humans. The book by Goldman and Osmani is a multiauthored treatise on aspergilli. Seventy-one contributors from around the world discuss in 32 chapters the current knowledge about these fascinating organisms. The Aspergilli is the most recent addition (Volume 26) to the Mycology Series, which is edited by J. W. Bennett (Founding Editor, Paul A. Lemke).
