Machining surface quality,efficiency,programming and parts machining program scale were analyzed and studied for the following three methods based on CAD/CAM,parameter line machining for 3-axis numerical controlled(NC) curve surface machining,sectional line(or curve zone)machining and projecting machining.The results show that under the same condition of machined curve surface,parameter line machining has better machining surface quality,sectional line machining has higher efficiency,projecting machining is easy to programme and possesses comprehensive superiority.According the datas acquired from lab for surface finishing of parts machining,machining period and parts machining program scale with the three methods,their applicability was presented.The method for improving NC curve surface machining quality efficiency was put forward.
