Method of Attitude Measurement and Prospect of GPS Compass

Compass is used for indicating the reference direction opposite to earth in horizontal plane of some motion carriers,for example ships,naval vessels,rockets and so on.Compared with traditional compasses,magnetic compass and electric compass,GPS compass is one new kind of electronic navigation compass,which assembles technologies of GPS and INS,and has more advantages.The formation,principle and development situation of GPS compass are introduced,its attitude measurement principle and arithmetic progress are presented,and its development tendency based on current research situation and technology difficulty are analyzed.
