This paper defines High - Intensity Interval Training and brings nutritional
recommendations for this kind of training. The paper presents three studies related to highintensity interval training; Aerobic and anaerobic changes achieved with high-intensity
interval training in active male students, Determining the impact of high-intensity interval
training on the fitness of ice hockey and Effective high-intensity interval training
based on functional exercise and its impact on performance and body composition on
female handball players . This paper also brings the advantages and disadvantages of this
type of exercising. Some specific ways of exercising are described, such as Tabata,
AMRAP, EMOM and Insanity. At the very end of the paper, the conclusions of several
studies presented by nutritionists who investigated the body's response to supplementation
during HIIT training are presented. In addition, the influence of carbohydrate levels on the
performance of HIIT training is explained.
