摘要
The objective for this study was to compare light-scattering based turbidity measurements on commercial lipid microbubbles, with alternative, and indeed, complementary methods for quantifying microbubble population dynamics such as flow based cytometric techniques. Microbubble populations were seen to respond to ultrasound exposure and usually exhibited an exponential decay, the degree for which was quantified in distinct regimes whereby the reflective environment (travelling versus standing waves) and the ultrasound waveform (sinusoidal versus rectangular) were varied in a controlled fashion.
