摘要
The results of studies on the effects of Zr on room temperature mechanical properties when substituted for a portion of the titanium content in selected alpha, alpha-dispersoid, alpha-beta, and beta-Ti alloys are discussed. Zr was found to have a mild strengthening effect in Ti and in a variety of Ti alloys, but it appears to have quite limited usefulness as a strengthening addition. Modification of alphadispersoid, alpha-beta, or beta alloys with Zr did not appear to result in any significant improvements in the alloys. Data are tabulated. (P.C.H.)
