摘要
Heavy metals such as lead are gradually pervading aquatic bodies in an alarming manner. Abundance beyond a permissible level makes the aquatic bodies toxic. As such, there is a requirement of effective sensing schemes toward monitoring of the concentration of these polluting ions. Accordingly, we present here a novel photonic sensor. Using Arduino Microcontroller, which makes the device portable and usable for remote sensing, an analyte in the form of lead ion is detected. The photonic sensor is found to be immune to interfering, thus rendering specificity for lead ion.
