Focal resolution of alopecia areata in response to potential smartwatch-mediated photobiomodulation

Photobiomodulation, a form of light therapy traditionally using red and near infrared light, has been proven to improve hair density in various alopecias. These images depict a solitary patch of striking hair regrowth beneath the site of a smartwatch in a patient with refractory alopecia universalis. The smartwatch emits green, red and infrared light in order to monitor vital signs, and lends support to the use of photobiomodulation as a treatment in alopecia areata.
