As such it provides an excellent text on public library services to diverse groups and multiculturalism in public libraries. It presents a detailed exposition of immigration law, accompanied by an analysis of laws affecting libraries. These legislative activities are placed in the context of library practice and the library profession, treating fully developments within ALA and the government agencies tasked with the funding and oversight of libraries.
