摘要
Abstract The shape‐memory and variable stiffness properties of shape‐memory polymer composites (SMPCs) have attracted considerable attention, leading to their increasing application across diverse fields. This work begins by establishing the fundamental principles of shape‐memory polymers and the significant enhancements achieved through composite strategies, particularly highlighting the key role of four‐dimensional (4D) printing in fabricating complex, stimuli‐responsive architectures. The core discussion delves into three critical application frontiers: Biomedical Engineering, where SMPCs enable intelligent devices like minimally invasive, dynamically adapting bone tissue scaffolds and stents; Aerospace Structures, showcasing SMPCs as ultralightweight, reliable solutions for deployable satellite components such as booms and solar arrays, offering a viable alternative to pyrotechnic systems; and Aviation, detailing SMPC‐driven adaptive structures such as morphing wing skins that optimize aerodynamic performance and fuel efficiency through seamless shape transitions. By synthesizing material science, advanced manufacturing, and application‐specific engineering, this work underscores how SMPCs bridge the gap between inherent material intelligence and demanding real‐world challenges, paving the way for next‐generation technologies across these high‐impact fields.
