摘要
The study examines the attitude toward risk-taking behaviour among adolescents across monetary, physical, social, and ethical dimensions. The objective of the study is to understand and explore the factors influencing adolescents' risk-taking behaviour, considering their age, gender, and educational qualifications. One hundred adolescents’ (50 males and 50 females), aged 18-19, were selected from institutions in Churachandpur District, Manipur, using simple random sampling. Data was collected through the standardized Risk-Taking Inventory by Dr K. P. Nimbalkar and Dr R. D. Helode and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results revealed that males exhibited significantly higher overall risk-taking tendencies than females (t = 4.012, p < 0.01). While moderate levels of risk-taking were observed in monetary, physical, and social domains, ethical risk-taking remained low across the sample. Age and gender were found to significantly influence behaviour, whereas educational qualification had no notable effect. The findings highlighted the need for gender-sensitive interventions, counselling, and life skills education to address adolescent risk behaviours effectively.
