Cover Picture

The cover picture shows the hydrogen bond mediated self-assembly of synthetic duplex oligomers defined through the “covalent casting” of a one-dimensional hydrogen-bonding motif. Covalent casting involves the use of noncovalent architectures to define covalent constructs of predetermined topography. The casting of one-dimensional supramolecular ensembles represents a rational design strategy toward molecular strands that adopt distinct modes of aggregation.
