摘要
Over the years, this Journal has become the leading source for information on orthopaedic trauma. The Editorial Board is proud to offer timely and useful information to surgeons with the goal of improving patient care. As the Journal's reputation has grown, so has its readership. This readership now extends to many parts of the globe, with contributions not only from North America, but also from South America, Europe, and Asia. This interaction is a wonderful opportunity for new ideas and technologies to be reviewed, discussed, and evaluated. Because of these trends, and in an effort to reach a larger audience of surgeons interested in orthopaedic trauma, we have decided to publish the abstracts from the scientific articles in both Spanish and German. Beginning with this volume, these abstracts will appear as a regular feature in the Journal. It is hoped that by offering this information without the language barrier, patient care will be improved. The translators we have chosen are orthopaedic surgeons who are well acquainted with orthopaedic traumatology and are bilingual. In the future, we hope to offer other languages as well. We sincerely believe that authors, readers, and patients will all benefit from this approach. Please feel free to give us your feedback. Happy reading!
