摘要
Heat-insulating clear coatings have been widely studied and used in energy conservation of buildings. In this article, tungsten-doped tin dioxide (WTO) nanoparticles were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal approach. The effects of molar doping ratios of tungsten, calcination temperatures of the WTO precursor, and hydrothermal synthesis temperatures on the phase composition and optical properties of WTO powder were investigated. The conditions for the preparation of WTO with better optical properties are as follows: the hydrothermal temperature is 180 °C, the molar doping ratio of tungsten is 1%, and the hydrothermal product is calcined at 900 °C. A possible mechanism of the optical properties of nano-WTO powder was proposed, in which tungsten ions provide carriers for tin oxide. It is worth mentioning that this is the first report on the synthesis of WTO nanoparticles and the development of their near-infrared light shielding properties.
