Research on slag composition and properties in COREX melter-gasifier

In order to get the chemical composition of early,middle and end slag in the COREX melter-gasifier,the reaction and process of slag formation in the smelting process were studied and slag viscosity measured to find out the composition and nature of the slag.Analysis of the test data revealed that the key factor that affected the nature of the slag was the basicity.As w(FeO) of the end slag decreased,the basicity increased at first,and then decreased.The melting temperature of the slag increased from 1 268 ℃ to 1 442 ℃,and then fell from 1 442 ℃ to 1 332 ℃.
