Objective:To study the clinical features and relevant factors in neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(NHIC).Methods:To perform the retrospective analysis on the occurrence factors and clinical features in 389 hospitalized cases of neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy from January 2000 to December 2009.Results:Among the causes of neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, intrauterine asphyxia mainly accounted for 74.3%.The morbidity and mortality of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy caused by severe neonatal asphyxia were higher than those of mild asphyxia.64.5% of neonatal patients had blood biochemical abnormalities.32.6% of neonatal patients revealed early clinical manifestations of excitement turning into suppression gradually. Conclusion:The main factor of neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy is intrauterine asphyxia, especially severe asphyxia.Pregnant women with the manifestation of intrauterine distress should terminate pregnancy in time.Treatment as early as possible can prevent further damage to brain tissues, reduce complications and sequelae and decrease mortality.
