Objective To compare the impact of Vero cell rabies vaccines with aluminium hydroxide adjuvant and that without adjuvant on the immune results in Guinea pigs. Methods The Guinea pigs were immunized with the Vero cell rabies vaccines with and without aluminium hydroxide adjuvant. The antibody levels in mice were determined 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180 and 360 days after immunization with neutral test. Results The time of antibody production was different in the groups with and without aluminium hydroxide adjuvant, being a little earlier in the group without aluminium hydroxide adjuvant with positive conversion rate of 5.0% on the third day after immunization and the positive conversion rate in the group with aluminium hydroxide adjuvant was zero. The positive conversion rates reached 100.0% on 60~(th) day after immunization in both groups. The antibody level was higher in the group with aluminium hydroxide adjuvant, but without significant difference. The antibody level was decreased gradually 60days after immunization. Conclusion The immune results of Vero cell rabies vaccine without aluminium hydroxide adjuvant is better that that with aluminium hydroxide adjuvant.
