Effects of SiO_2 nanoparticles on the performances of PVDF ultrafiltration membrane

The SiO2 nanopaticles were added into the PVDF casting solutions and the resulted suspension were uniform,transparent and stable.The addition of SiO2 nanoparticles increased the viscosities of casting solution and slowed the coagulation process.The results show that the flux,contact angle,retention of BSA,porosity and structure of the organic-inorganic hybrid membranes can be changed a lot by the addition of SiO2 nanoparticles.
