RESEARCH PROGRESS OF FENTON AND PHOTO-FENTON REACTION

The photo-Fenton oxidation is an effective advanced oxidation process (AOP). It is gradually being used in the treatment of biologically refractory organic substances in wastewater. This paper reviews the recent advance in this field including the study of the oxidation mechanism, its utilization in the environmental treatment and some new modified photo-Fenton methods.
