The electrochemical oxidation of phenol in synthetic wastewater catalyzed by metal ion supported on cation exchange resin in suspended bed electrolytic reactor with graphite electrode has been investigated. The effects of pH,the different metal ion and NaCl on the efficiency of the electrochemical oxidation phenol process were studied. It was found that the catalyst containing Fe3+ had the highest electrochemical catalytic activity for the electrochemical oxidation of phenol and up to 90% COD removal was obtained in 10min.
